Twenty word problems, one long-neck dinosaur, and a built-in check: if a part of the picture has no matching answer, students know to look at their working again. Each problem takes two steps, like finding 25% off and then the sale price, or the part that is left.

How it runs

One or two lessons of 45–60 minutes. Start with the learn page and the benchmark percentages (10% means divide by 10, 25% divide by 4, 50% halve, 75% is three quarters), work through the examples on the slides, then students solve the 20 problems and colour the picture. Finish with the "Where do we see percentages?" page.
