Spin, answer and design your own spinners
$5.00
This is a chance review game. Students spin a clickable spinner, land on a question about spinners, bags or dice, and check the worked answer. Then the job turns around: they design spinners and bags to match given probabilities, and sample a mystery bag to work out what's inside.
Two to three lessons of 45–60 minutes. Students make paper spinners and cut out the 8 question cards. Play in groups with the recording sheet, or as a class: in Present mode, click a number to jump to its question and "Back to the spinner" to return (works in PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides).
Students test Spinner B, graph their results at 2 spins per line and compare them with what they expected. They design spinners and bags for given probabilities, such as a bag where red is twice as likely as blue. For the mystery bag they take a cube, record it, put it back and repeat. The Case of the Missing Game Pieces, a chore spinner money task and a design-your-own spinner game finish it.
